Inyou Chouwa Ryouri is a simple and healthy way of cooking that rarely uses meat, oil and sugar. Yokochi Tamiko studied this culinary art under Kazuko Umesaki. In May 2006 Yokochi Tamiko became the president of a cooking class called 'Kichin Sumairu'. Yokochi Tamiko teaches how to cook and eat the right Japanese meals for outstanding health benefits. She is dedicated to improve your food literacy for healthy eating. Her methods to bring out the umami in food is widely recognized.

"Temaemiso" is a word that means to blow one's own horn. In the old days, it was used to refer handmade miso that families would make on their own. Every family had their own unique miso taste. Making miso may take some time but it is not a difficult task.
At our cooking class we have soy beans prepared so all you need to do is mix koji, salt and the soy beans together. We use no additives, sweeteners or chemical seasonings. How would you like to experience making your own unique miso?

【Accepting reservations】A minimum of two to three participants are required for cooking classes

【No course fees】Please specify the amount of kilograms you require

【Price of admission】Minimum of 3kg per person (1kg ¥1,000)

【Course time】Approx. 1 hour and 30 minutes

【Available period】October to April

Miso cooking classes are in session every month. A fun experience for beginners to frequent participants. You will be able to take home the miso you make.
